Pragati has transformed 120+ low income, high potential students since 2021 and was honoured by the Chief Minister’s Office as one of Karnataka’s Best Practices in public-private education partnerships. – Pragati has transformed 120+ low income, high potential students since 2021 and was mentioned in the Chief Minister’s Book of Excellent Governance Practices of Karnataka.

Pragati’s Key Principles

  • Identify top 30 students from Mangalore studying in Government/Aided PU colleges & provide NEET & JEE classes to these students by CFAL faculties.
  • Provide CFAL Learning portal’s access to all students of Government/Aided PU colleges for free.
  • Increase the number of students writing and clearing competitive exams in science, by developing and enhancing a sense of direction among them regarding competitive exams and other areas of their interest.

CFAL’s success in training students in Dakshina Kannada for various competitive exams & making them reach the top institutions in the world/country serves as a role model and catalyst for us to create a system of rigorous guided training for competitive exams for the science students of Govt/Aided PU colleges of Mangalore.

CFAL’s Pragati will take quality education to the doorstep of students who deserve it and play a major role in fulfilling the rights of the deprived sections to get access to competitive exams, thereby creating an ecosystem of independent learning leading students from Government/Aided PU colleges towards their goal of clearing various competitive exams.

Selection Process

  • An entrance exam will be conducted for all students of Government/Aided PU colleges of Mangalore who are currently in 1st PUC before June 25th, 2025 in below listed college premises.
  • Examination comprises of 60 MCQ-type questions and duration is 1 hour. 20 questions each are based on topics from 10th std science and mathematics, rest of the 20 are logical reasoning questions.
  • Colleges to provide adequate support to CFAL team in conducting the exam in terms of the exam in terms of invigilation & logistics.
  • Top 100 will be shortlisted based on Test score. These 100 students will be asked to send an essay on their goals, interests and study patterns.
  • Based on test scores and essays top 30 will be selected for the regular classes.
  • Other students will be provided with free access to CFAL’s Learning portal.
  • Student will be selected based on merit.
  • Free-coaching for NEET/JEE/CET will be provided for selected candidates.

  • Free access to CFAL’s learning portal to be given to all Government/Aided PU college students across Mangalore.
