Policy on Ensuring Accuracy of Exam Papers

Policy on Ensuring Accuracy of Exam Papers

1. Major Exams and Board Papers

  • Subject Experts or Heads of Departments (HODs) must submit the examination papers for typing at least 7 days prior to the scheduled test date to ensure there is ample time for a thorough review.
  • Two working days before the test, Subject Experts or HODs must review the typed exam papers to check for errors, verify alignment with the syllabus, ensure clarity of questions, answer keys etc.
  • Once the review process is completed and no errors are detected, the Subject Expert or HOD must authorize the final paper by countersigning it, indicating their approval and accountability.

2. Chapter Tests - TLC Pre-University (PU) Teachers

  • TLC PU Teachers must consult with the HOD on the papers they plan to administer, and present the final version to the Associate Admin at least 3 days before the test.
  • As an alternative, TLC PU Teachers may select a paper from the data bank no later than 3 days before the test.
  • After the exam paper and answer keys are typed, TLC PU Teachers must review these materials for accuracy. Upon verifying the content, they must approve the final version by signing it. This should be done prior to administering the test to the class.

3. Chapter Tests - Senior Teachers

  • While Senior Teachers are not required to consult with HODs for their exam papers, they must adhere to the same procedure as TLC PU Teachers for chapter tests.
  • The exam papers must be ready and presented to the Associate Admin at least 3 days before the test or selected from the data bank within the same timeline.
  • After the exam paper and answer keys are typed, Senior Teachers must review and verify these materials. The final version of the test must be approved by signing it before it can be administered to the class.

This policy is put in place to guarantee the validity, reliability, and fairness of our examination process, ensuring all students are evaluated accurately and consistently.
