Policy and Procedure for additional Renumeration to Staff

Policy and Procedure for additional Renumeration to Staffs

All teachers are required to work either from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM or from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, while teaching assistants (TA’s) have to work from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays and from 8:30 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays. During these working hours, all staff members must conduct a minimum of 20 teaching hours per week. If teaching hours exceed this minimum threshold in a given week, staff members become eligible for additional payments for the extra classes taught. Please note that invigilation and supervision duties are not considered as teaching hours.

Staff members who conduct classes for foundation or coaching programs outside of their standard working hours, either online or offline, are also eligible for additional payments.

1. Foundation Classes:

The Foundation Administrator must provide a record of the hours conducted for foundation courses. The attendance sheet for these hours should be reviewed and counterchecked by the PU Administrator, Ranjitha. Once reviewed, both the Foundation Administrator and the PU Administrator must sign off on the attendance sheet, which then must be handed over to the accountant for final approval.

2. Coaching Classes for NEET and JEE:

If a TLC PU teacher has conducted classes exceeding 20 hours in a week, the PU Administrator, Bhagya, is responsible for preparing this record. The sheet should be given to Ranjitha for counterchecking before sending it to the accountant.

3. Exceeding 20 Teaching Hours per Week:

If a TLC PU teacher has conducted classes exceeding 20 hours in a week, the PU Administrator, Bhagya, is responsible for preparing this record. The sheet should be given to Ranjitha for counterchecking before sending it to the accountant.

Please note the following conditions:

  • If a teacher has applied for emergency leave from the PU college, they are ineligible to conduct additional foundation or coaching classes for that day.
  • If a teacher has canceled a class without providing adequate notice, they are not eligible for conducting additional classes.
  • The accountant has the final authority on remuneration matters. All discussions and disputes related to this should be directed towards this individual.
  • Any disputes regarding the calculated hours should be resolved with the respective administrator.
  • This procedure aims to maintain a fair and transparent system for rewarding additional efforts made by our staff members, while upholding the quality of our teaching commitment
