On December 7th, 2023, the Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) proudly hosted its annual sports meet at the esteemed Mangala Stadium in Mangalore. This event not only showcased the athletic prowess of our students but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participants.
Inspirational Start
The day began with an energizing speech from our esteemed principal, Dr. Vineeth Kumar. His motivational words set the tone for the day, inspiring students and staff alike to strive for excellence. Following this, a marshal run featuring state, national, and international players was conducted, symbolizing the unity and competitive spirit of sports.
A Display of Athleticism
The sports meet was officially inaugurated by Dr. Vineeth Kumar, marking the beginning of various track events. The stadium resonated with cheers as students competed in 800m, 400m, 200m, and 100m sprints. Both boys and girls displayed remarkable speed and endurance, making each race a thrilling experience for the spectators.
Field Events: A Leap of Talent
Alongside track events, the field was buzzing with activities such as high jump, long jump, shot put, and discus throw. These events, complemented by live commentaries from CFAL staff, added an extra layer of excitement to the day.
Inclusive Sportsmanship
Prior to the main event, CFAL organized matches in football for boys, throw ball for girls, and badminton for both genders, in which even the staff members participated actively. The 100m race for staff members was a highlight, adding a touch of glamour and fun to the sports meet.
The Relay of Excitement
A special mention goes to the 4*100m relay for both boys and girls. This event captured the attention of the entire crowd, showcasing the importance of teamwork and coordination in sports.
Culinary Delights for Athletes
Understanding the importance of nutrition in sports, CFAL ensured that all athletes were provided with a delicious and healthy lunch. This gesture not only fueled their energy but also offered a moment of relaxation and socialization among participants.

In an exemplary display of responsibility and environmental consciousness, our students took a commendable initiative after the event. Volunteering to clean up the stadium, they diligently collected plastics and other waste materials, ensuring that the venue was left in pristine condition. This act of discipline and stewardship not only reflected the values we instill at CFAL but also demonstrated our commitment to environmental care and community responsibility.
